A highly successful Academy team contested the Waikato Bays Open in Rotorua on the weekend of 24-25 June.
We were three team members down due to sickness and injury, though the ones who stepped onto the mat did the Academy proud.
The Team: Griffin Burkhart, Lucinda Griffiths, Roberta Griffiths, Finn Moriarty, Aurie Tzeng, Shalom Watson.
The Haul:
Gold – Roberta (2), Lucinda, Shalom.
Silver – Aurie, Finn, Shalom.
Bronze – Finn, Aurie, Griffin.
On the Sunday of the competition, Finn, Aurie, Lulu and Roberta attended a national training session at Pacific Judo Club in Wanganui.
