Julien (The Judo Nomad) Brulard arrived in Wellington during the Wellington Open on 1-2 June. He was resident here for the next 8 days where he conducted training sessions at Kapiti, Koizumi Kwai and Upper Hutt Judo Clubs.
On Saturday, 8 June, Julien ran two Senior sessions and a Junior session at the Academy, where participants from five clubs, including Wanganui City College were able to dip into the wellspring of Julien’s Judo knowledge.
Julien is enthusiastic and very good at pitching his teaching at the right level for his audience. Off the mat he is great dinnertime company and several members of the group enjoyed staying out late with him afterward.
He is now heading to the South Island and from there Vanuatu.
