Just under forty kids from across Wellington converged on Koizumi Kwai JC in Petone for the first Junior Judo event of the year, following a lot of cancelled events.
Fifteen Academy members aged between 6 and 14 were present at the event. Several of our more experienced members blew the dust off their skills and four were trying competition for the first time.
There were some excellent performances, with some beating higher grades than themselves.
The next opportunity for competition will be the Junior Blue and White at the Academy on Sunday 15 November.
